26 January 2014 –
William Hague today spoke of plans afoot for the British government to provide special help to ‘vulnerable’ Syrian refugees. Speaking on the BBC on Sunday morning, he suggested that the British Home Secretary, Theresa May, is currently working on provisions for Syrian refugees, with an announcement expected in the next few days.
Support Syrian Christians welcomes this development and, given that Christians in the region are most certainly vulnerable, hopes that their needs are recognised as a high and urgent priority.
